Polite online dating
What do you do when you hit it off with someone in an email correspondence and in phone conversations, and then when you meet you find them unattractive? The only reason I see fit to offer my thoughts is if someone asks for genuine constructive feedback.
I usually replied to those, sometimes by saying I'm happy to chat but don't think I'm interested in meeting.
Unfortunately there's no easy answer, especially since different people prefer different things.
I've seen some profiles where they actually state that they would prefer a response, even if it's a rejection, and others that don't want you to reply (and "waste their time") if you're not interested.
Especially since before meeting they think you think they’re great. Frankly, I’m a fan of the little white lie that hurts no one.
Plus, there’s nothing to learn from “there’s no chemistry.” It’s not like she could go back into the lab and work on that minor issue for her next date.
